Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev met with the representative of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the Republic of South Ossetia Vyacheslav Dzhabiev.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dzhabiev spoke about his participation in the first meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Representative Offices of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, the main topic of which was the discussion of the tasks and prospects for the development of representative offices for 2022, and also shared his vision of further joint activities.
Dmitry Medoev welcomed the opening of the representative office in South Ossetia, having noted that one of the main foreign policy priorities for our country is Eurasian integration.
The Minister has also stressed that South Ossetia is in a single civilizational Eurasian space with the Russian Federation, and the South Ossetian people share the ideas and values of Eurasian integration, protection of peace, strengthening friendship, harmony, partnership and good neighborliness among peoples.
The parties discussed the main areas of Eurasian cooperation between South Ossetia and the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly in the context of the emergence of modern new challenges.
Vyacheslav Dzhabiev conveyed the intention of the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly A.Y. Belyaninov to visit South Ossetia with an educational and familiarization visit for the subsequent signing of the Cooperation Agreement with South Ossetia.
