In Tskhinval, continues the collection of humanitarian aid for servicemen participating in the Russian special operation in Ukraine, and residents of the LPR and DPR.
The collection, organized by the wife of the President of the Republic Linda Kumaritova, is taking place on the basis of the Unity of Alanya Foundation on Stalin Street, 19.
Residents of the Republic have already collected a large number of products and other necessary things, the organizer of the action told the IA “Res”.
“Today is the fourth day of the collection and I want to note that during this time many people have offered their help. The townspeople bring what they can. They call and ask what to bring. Entrepreneurs have sent a lot of products, among them shops "Gabulik", "Berkut", a wholesale store on Kochieva Street and many others. The owners of the Fashion Kids store brought cookies and sweets to the children yesterday. Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Bank, Ministry of Justice, the Pension Fund joined in – many people have responded,” she said.
Kumaritova has noted that these days she witnessed the unity of the people of South Ossetia and their responsiveness.
“I see a sincere desire of every person who comes here, to help. Thanks a lot, to everyone. The guys who have friends in Donetsk are coming, they want to help them. Yesterday the Russian family came and brought matches and spray cans to the guys, and one woman brought warm socks and hats. Two pensioners came, they wanted to help at the expense of their pensions, they bought bottles of alcohol for disinfection. Another young couple brought medicines and buckwheat. That is, there are a huge number of people who want to help. It is gratifying to see that our people have rallied when it is especially necessary," Kumaritova said.
According to her, yesterday it was reported that servicemen were in greater need of hygiene items. As noted by Kumaritova, now, when people are calling, asking how to help, they are listed the necessary things, noting that it is better to purchase something really necessary.
Kumaritova has also noted that they ordered military uniforms for the servicemen, adding that both Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Emergency Situations helped with uniforms. In the field, soldiers need it most now, she said, as they are out in the rain and snow and need a change of clothes.
According to the organizer of the action, humanitarian aid will be loaded and sent on March 31.
