Spectators of the XXIV International Theater Festival of the CIS and Baltic countries "Meetings in Russia" in St. Petersburg enthusiastically accepted the play "Kosta" of the State Drama Theater of South Ossetia, Tamerlan Dzudtsov, the artistic director of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater, told the “Res” news agency.
"On April 9, the play "Kosta" based on the play by Roman Gabria was shown on the big stage of the Baltic House Theater as part of the Meetings in Russia festival. The performance was held at the highest level, there were many people, the audience enthusiastically accepted the production. Our artists played superbly, which was confirmed by rave reviews and applause, the performance was held in one breath," said Dzudtsov.
According to him, the South Ossetian State Drama Theater received a diploma and gratitude from the Chairman of the legislative assembly of St. Petersburg.
The artistic director has noted that the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in South Ossetia provided support in organizing the trip to the troupe.
The literary and musical performance "Kosta" (directed by Roman Gabria) was first presented on the South Ossetian stage at the end of 2019.
The protagonist of the production is represented by three artists at once - People's Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitry Parastaev, Eduard Gagloev and Honored Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Batradz Kumaritov. Other roles in the play are performed by People's Artists of the Republic of South Ossetia Soslan Bibilov, Vasily Tekhov, Honored Artists Artur Gagloev, Natia Chokheli, Bessarion Bitarov, Batradz Kumaritov, artists Zarina Bekoeva, Ramaz Elbakiev.
