In March, 20 violators of the law in the border area were detained at various sections of the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia (in February - 21), the press service of the KGB of the Republic reported.
"Of these: 15 - violators of the regime of the state border, 4 - the border regime, 1 - disobedience to the lawful demand of a serviceman. The Border Service of the State Security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia conducted investigations on each fact," the press service has noted.
In the course of legal proceedings against the violators of the South Ossetian legislation in force on the state border, administrative measures were taken and explanatory work was carried out.
"As a result, eight people were subjected to administrative fines, four violators were expelled from the Republic of South Ossetia, with respect to another eight citizens, a decision will be made based on the results of consideration of cases on the merits," the report says.
The Border Service of the KGB of the Republic remind the citizens of the Republic of the need to comply with the administrative and legal regimes established by law, and also warns of administrative and criminal liability for violation of the border legislation of the Republic.
