Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks committed on the eve of a number of state facilities of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which caused destruction.
"Such criminal acts are aimed at intimidating the civilian population and creating a pretext for aggravating the situation, thereby jeopardizing the security of the citizens of Pridnestrovie and stability in the region as a whole. This provocation was undoubtedly introduced by external forces and is aimed at destabilizing and creating another hotbed of tension in Europe," the Foreign Ministry said in a comment published on its official website.
The Foreign Ministry believes that criminal acts require a proper principled response from the international community. "It is important to put a reliable barrier in the way of attempts to undermine the situation," the Foreign Ministry has noted.
The Republic of South Ossetia, the commentary says, expresses solidarity with the government and people of Pridnestrovie, wishes stability and peace to the fraternal republic.
