The South Ossetian State Drama Theater will take part in the XXIV International Festival of Ancient Art "Bosporus Agons" in Kerch from June 9 to 17, the artistic director of the theater Tamerlan Dzudtsov told the IA “Res”.
"We will take part in the theater competition "From Antiquity to Modernity" of the International Festival of Ancient Art. We will present to the jury the play "Antigone" based on the play of the same name by the French playwright and screenwriter Jean Anouy and the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles, which was first staged on the South Ossetian stage in 2018," Dzudtsov said.
According to him, the image of Antigone in the play is presented by the artist Zarina Bekoeva, the Gemon is performed by Andrey Chochiev, the Creon - the People's People's Artist of South Ossetia Soslan Bibilov.
The Bosporus Agons Festival is commonly called the "calling card" of the region. In different years, its participants were almost all countries whose history is somehow connected with the ancient world - Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Armenia, etc.
The program includes a traditional theater competition of professional collectives "From antiquity to modernity", a film page, museum, music, literary pages, celebration of Russia Day, the international theoretical and practical conference "Crimea and international cooperation", creative meetings, master classes.
