Parliament of South Ossetia on Friday gave its consent to the President on the appointment of Konstantin Dzhussoev to the post of Prime Minister. All 33 deputies present at the session voted unanimously for the nominated candidate in a secret ballot.
President Alan Gagloev presented his candidacy to the deputy corps.
"Konstantin Dzhussoev is known in the Republic as a professional, under his leadership a number of facilities were built as part of the Investment Program: the university complex, the Severny micro district, the government building and other facilities. He showed himself from the best side both in human and professional terms. I consider him worthy candidate for appointment to the post of Prime Minister," the President said.
The head of state has noted that earlier a request was received from parliamentarians to provide a report on the activities of the government for 2020-2021.
"Gennady Bekoev is currently on a business trip, upon arrival he will submit a report to the legislature, and only after that a decree on the appointment of a new prime minister will be signed," he shas pecified.
Konstantin Dzhussoev also addressed the parliamentarians.
He outlined the tasks for the development of various spheres of the Republic's life, facing the Cabinet.
Dzhussoev focused on the need to improve socio-economic processes.
"The agro-industrial complex should play an important role in ensuring the food security of the Republic. We will also actively work to attract investors. The improvement of the situation in the field of entrepreneurship deserves special attention, we intend to restore trust between the government and business, reduce the administrative and tax burden on business," he said.
Dzhussoev has also noted that the government faces the task of improving the demographic situation, strengthening the institution of the family, developing the Ossetian language in the Republic, establishing an uninterrupted supply of beneficiaries with medicines, etc.
The candidacy of Konstantin Dzhussoev was voted unanimously during a secret ballot. Representatives of all political parties are present in the hall.
The President submitted a candidacy for the post of Prime Minister to Parliament on 8 June. According to the Constitution of South Ossetia, the President appoints the Prime Minister with the consent of the Parliament.
Alan Gagloev specified that the presidential decree on the appointment of a new head of the government would be signed after the report of the Acting Prime Minister Gennady Bekoev.
It should be reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia resigned on May 24, in connection with the entry into office of the new head of state Alan Gagloev, who won the elections on May 8.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to fulfill its duties until the completion of the formation of the new government of South Ossetia.
Dzhussoev is 55 years old, he is a native of South Ossetia. General Director of the construction company "Megapolis".
He headed the construction of housing and civil, commercial and social facilities, as well as the construction of significant facilities within the framework of the Russian Investment Program to promote the socio-economic development of South Ossetia.
