South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee continues daily monitoring of the incidence of coronavirus infection in South Ossetia, the head of the Committee, Marina Kochieva, told IA “Res”.

According to her, in July there is an increase in new cases of COVID-19.

“In July, 15 cases of coronavirus infection were detected,” Kochieva said. - This is 9% of the number of tests carried out in a month. Currently, eight patients who have been diagnosed with coronavirus are on outpatient treatment, the disease is mild. They are under medical supervision. The remaining six people recovered and were removed from observation. There are no patients in hospitals.

She has reminded that the peak of the third wave of coronavirus occurred in January of this year.

“In January, February and March, numerous cases of coronavirus were detected, then there was a decrease in the incidence, and in May there were no more cases of COVID-19,” Kochieva said. “And in June, we had two cases of coronavirus.”.

Marina Kochieva warned of a possible increase in the incidence of covid in South Ossetia, urging citizens with symptoms of acute respiratory infection to seek medical help from local doctors.

"We appeal to the local population so that those citizens who have respiratory symptoms stay at home and call local doctors so as not to spread this infection," Kochieva stressed.

Kochieva has added that during the entire period of the coronavirus pandemic, South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee conducted 68,968 tests for coronavirus, of which 14,138 samples were positive.
