On Tuesday, Minister of Culture of South Ossetia, Rada Dzagoeva, met with Minister of Art and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region, Yevgenia Sidorova.
The meeting was held as part of the tour of the Ulyanovsk State Theater for Young Spectators to South Ossetia.
Rada Dzagoeva has stressed that the mutual cooperation between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation in the cultural sphere has recently reached a new level.
“Quite recently, several teams from Russia visited our republic. We are glad to welcome the Ulyanovsk Theater of Young Spectators to our land, and, in particular, you, Evgenia Evgenievna. I hope that a good foundation will be laid for our future cooperation,” the Minister said.

“I very much hope that we will fill the specific direction of culture with new content,” she has stressed.
According to the head of the Ministry, South Ossetia has something to present both in the regions of Russia and abroad.
“We have a magnificent State Song and Dance Group “Simd”, which turns 85 next year. This is a team with rich traditions, which can adequately represent the Ossetian choreographic culture on the territory of Russia, and, in particular, in the Ulyanovsk region. There are other groups, including the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments with national flavor. We have something to show, but it will be nice to learn some experience from you,”said Dzagoeva.
She has stressed that the South Ossetian State Drama Theater has a rich history.
“I think that the Ulyanovsk audience will be interested to see and get acquainted with the culture of the world, Russian, Ossetian, through the work of our troupe,” she has added.
Minister of Arts and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk Region Evgenia Sidorova thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia for the invitation and warm welcome.
“We hope that the art of our artists will win the hearts of those who will watch performances during the week. The culture of the Ulyanovsk region is quite diverse, since we have five state theaters, a large network of cultural and leisure institutions, and four state museums. We will be glad to see representatives of the culture of South Ossetia visiting the Ulyanovsk region,” Sidorova said.
Evgenia Sidorova invited representatives of the culture of the republic to the opening of the new building of the Ulyanovsk Theater for Young Spectators, which is scheduled for next year.
