Russia and South Ossetia rallied to achieve stability in the South Caucasus. This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin at the meeting with the State Adviser to President of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev, Vmeste- RF reports.
“I am convinced that our relations with South Ossetia will only acquire new impulses from our contacts. Thanks again for this meeting. I hope you will often visit Moscow, ”Karasin said.
Konstantin Kochiev noted that the two countries had historically very close and trusting relations.
"This is the key to success for South Ossetia. And this is our confidence in the future of our people. Russia's foreign policy course is decisive for us. We very much value cooperation with Russian diplomacy, which has done a lot for us," said the state Adviser to the President of the RSO.
Earlier, Kochiev met with representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry. It was discussed the resumption of a conversation in the framework of Geneva discussions. They must ensure security and stability in Transcaucasia. Representatives of South Ossetia expressed their readiness to restore the format.
