On Monday, the solemn opening of the Days of Culture of South Ossetia took place in the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
The event was opened by Minister of Culture of Chechnya Aishat Kadyrova and Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva.
Aishat Kadyrova in her welcoming speech noted the importance of holding exchange events.
“It is with understanding of each other's traditions that sincere mutual respect between the two peoples begins. South Ossetia and the Chechen Republic have something to talk about, and the Days of Culture will only strengthen our friendship,” Aishat Kadyrova stressed.
Rada Dzagoeva greeted all those present and thanked her colleague for the desire for cooperation and the cultural dialogue that had already been established.
In her speech, Rada Dzagoeva has also noted that today an important holiday is being celebrated in Ossetia - the Day of the Ossetian Language.
“Language and culture are the foundations of any nation. Today, the Ossetian Language Day is being celebrated throughout Ossetia, and it is very symbolic that on this significant day we are showing our culture outside our state,” the Minister said.
She also expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation in the field of culture.
