President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, the press service of the head of state reports.
The meeting was held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum after the signing of the agreement between the governments of South Ossetia and the Leningrad Region.
The signed document provides for cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural spheres.
Alexander Drozdenko has noted the importance of the signed agreement, which, according to him, will allow the implementation of joint projects in various fields.
“This agreement with South Ossetia is important for us, because we are actively developing and promoting our products, offering our territory for the implementation of joint projects. We have already previously discussed with the government of South Ossetia that such areas as industry, energy, transport, housing and communal services are areas where we can really implement specific projects,” he said.
Alan Gagloev expressed confidence that due to close cooperation within the framework of the signed agreement between South Ossetia and the Leningrad Region, it would be possible to implement all the plans.
