The state has the right to use any means against unmanned aerial vehicles if its airspace is violated, the head of the South Ossetian delegation Уgor Kochiev noted after the meeting in the IPRM format, answering the question of whether the parties discussed the new procedure for the use of weapons and military equipment during protection of the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia.
“The issue was not raised, but if it were discussed, we would advise those people who say that Georgian drones do not fly over our territory to look at Georgian sites that are full of footage from Georgian drones of the South Ossetian territory.”
Kochiev has noted that at the same time one can watch the South Ossetian segment, in which there is no such filming of the Georgian territory.
“This indirectly proves that it is Georgian drones that are flying,” he said. “There are many all kinds of public figures and public organizations in Georgia who are trying to show their patriotism by posting footage from the Georgian unmanned aerial vehicles.”
