The Border Service of the State Security Committee of South Ossetia is implementing a set of measures to prevent the commission of offenses in the field of protecting the state border.
According to the press service of the department, in the first half of 2023, 185 violators of the law in the border area were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, of which: 8 violators of the state border, 86 violators of the state border regime, 91 – of the border regime.
“The Border Service conducted investigations on each fact of violation of legal regimes.
As a result of procedural activities in relation to violators of the existing administrative and legal regimes at the state border, administrative measures were applied with explanatory work, during which 121 people were subjected to an administrative fine, 3 people were expelled from the Republic in accordance with Article 14 of the Law "On the State Border of the Republic of South Ossetia" without penalties, 46 people were warned, criminal cases were initiated against 7 people," the statement of the press service reads.
The Border Service of the KGB of South Ossetia warns of administrative and criminal liability provided for by the legislation of South Ossetia for committing offenses in the field of protecting the state border.
