Ambassador of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev and Deputy Head of the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry Arlette Marenko discussed the state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
The Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting between the Ambassador and the Deputy Minister took place as part of Narim Kozaev's trip to Managua to attend celebrations on the occasion of the victory of the Sandinista revolution.
"During the meeting, Narim Kozaev congratulated the Nicaraguan people on the celebration of the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution and conveyed warm words of greeting on behalf of the people of South Ossetia," the message posted on the official website of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic reads.
Nicaragua officially recognized the independence and sovereignty of South Ossetia on September 3, 2008.
