In Tskhinval, on Wednesday, in honor of the celebration of the 93rd anniversary of the Airborne Forces, wreaths and flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame on the Alley of Glory.
The event was attended by members of the Airborne Forces Union of South Ossetia, both veterans and graduates of the Ryazan School. The oldest paratrooper of the Republic is 80 years old.
Representatives of the government led by Prime Minister of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev, head of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Dzhioev, and Deputy Defense Minister Vadim Siukaev came to congratulate the owners of the "blue berets".
“Today you are celebrating your professional holiday, and I congratulate you on this significant day. Long life to you and success in everything, ”Dzhussoev congratulated the paratroopers.
Alan Dzhioev has emphasized that the South Ossetian veterans of the Airborne Forces are an example for young people.
“You are educating our younger generation so that they grow up as worthy people and defend our homeland. Thank you for your work,” said Dzhioev.

“We celebrate our holiday widely every year. For me, Paratrooper's Day is the most important holiday of the year,” he said.
The celebration of the Day of the Airborne Troops continued with a motor rally.
The holiday of "blue berets" in South Ossetia, as well as in Russia, is celebrated annually on August 2.
