Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev signed the plans for consultations between the diplomatic departments for 2024-2025.
Lavrov is holding separate bilateral and trilateral negotiations in Sochi with presidents of South Ossetia and Abkhazia Alan Gagloev and Aslan Bzhania, as well as with the foreign ministers of the republics Akhsar Dzhioev and Inal Ardzinba.
The plans for consultations between the foreign ministries of South Ossetia and Russia will help to strengthen the interstate dialogue.
The plan for consultations between the foreign ministries, signed in the presence of President Alan Gagloev, involves intensifying cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries in the field of information support for the foreign policy activities, organizing joint conferences, cultural and sporting events. The parties agreed to systematically conduct consultations on these topics.
