South Ossetia took part in the opening of the Days of Documentary Film of the Republika Srpska

The South Ossetian Embassy in Russia, at the invitation of the head of the Republika Srpska mission, Dusko Perovic, took part in the opening ceremony of the Republika Srpska Documentary Film Days, reports the press service of the South Ossetian diplomatic service in the Russian Federation.

The event, which took place at the House of the Russian Abroad, was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions, representatives of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow Department of Culture.

South Ossetian Ambassador Znaur Gassiev, in his welcoming speech, expressed gratitude to the head of the representative office, Dushka Perovich, for the invitation.

The welcoming address also notes: “South Ossetia and Serbia share a similar fate. Both nations defended their right to exist at the cost of blood. Our peoples have the same spiritual values and we have a common reliable friend - Russia.”

For the first time, over three days, residents and guests of the capital will be able to see selected films by directors from Republika Srpska. The director of the, Movie libraries Snezhan Lalovich, presented the films to the Russian public.

2022 became a landmark year for the development of cinema in the Republika Srpska: the Cinematography celebrated its 30th anniversary. During the work, one documentary-fiction film was created and 29 documentaries were released, most of which received international awards, including at the festivals in Russia.
