The border guards of the South Ossetian authorities detained the Georgian citizen Mevlud Lagoshviliz the day before for violating the state border regime of South Ossetia, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

"It has been established that the said violator Mevluda Lagoshvili, born in 1971, a resident of the village of Takhtisdziri of the Karelian municipality in a state of alcoholic intoxication accidentally crossed the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the locality of Ziuuat of Znaur district," the statement of the press service reads.

On Thursday, Lagoshvili, in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of South Ossetia “On the State Border,” was expelled from the Republic.
