The II Assembly of the World Federation of Russian-Speaking Women was held in Moscow, which was attended by Svetlana Kotaeva, Deputy Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Organization of Russian Compatriots in the Republic.

The conference took place in the Russian capital on November 3 and brought together representatives from more than 60 countries.

“The speakers of the Assembly introduced us to the results of the work done and outlined plans for the future. It was a very productive conference, where not just words were spoken, but certain issues were voiced and specific solutions were found. Participation in such events helps to learn from the experience of colleagues and apply knowledge in practice in our countries,” Kotaeva said.

She shared that at the assembly she joined the World Women's Federation of Russian-Speaking Women, thereby becoming its first member from South Ossetia.

“The Federation deals with family problems and the protection of the rights of women and children. If necessary, they resolve legal issues of women who find themselves in difficult situations abroad. Also at the forum, it was voiced the idea of creating an organization of women of the Donbass to solve their problems,” the Deputy Chairman has added.

Earlier, compatriots from South Ossetia took part in the World Thematic Conference of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad.
