At the same time, the department has added, on the outskirts of the border settlement of Kirbali there is a concentration of up to 50 civilians. At the moment, no protest actions are being taken on their part.

“On the Georgian side, the police are monitoring the current situation. In the context of ensuring the security of South Ossetia, in the interests of timely identification and localization of threats, the KGB and the Border Service of the Republic of South Ossetia, together with the Border Department of the FSB of Russia in South Ossetia, have intensified monitoring of the situation on the border with Georgia, and are taking all necessary measures to maintain the state border regime in this area,” - reported the KGB.

On the border of the South Ossetian territory, in the vicinity of the settlement. of Amdzarin, Leningor district of South Ossetia, on Monday, a border patrol discovered two state border violators in a car who were intoxicated. During the attempt to detain them, they resisted, posing a threat to the life and health of the border guards. The offenders used an axe.

In order to suppress these illegal actions and prevent illegal crossing of the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, the border guards fired a warning shot into the air, and after further disobedience of the violators to legal requirements, they opened fire on the wheels of their vehicle.
