Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie Vitaly Ignatiev and the head of the official representation of South Ossetia in the PMR Vitaly Yankovsky discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and summed up its preliminary results for the current year.
According to the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the meeting took place at the Foreign Ministry of the PMR on Wednesday.
Welcoming the guest, Vitaly Ignatiev has stressed that the Pridnestrovian-Ossetian cooperation, including through the Foreign Ministry and the official representative office, continues in a dynamic and constructive manner.
“The meeting participants discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and summed up its preliminary results for the current year. In this context, the head of the PMR Foreign Ministry especially noted the visit of the Pridnestrovian delegation to South Ossetia to participate in the festive events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of the Republic by the Russian Federation, as well as the meetings of Pridnestrovian diplomats with the country’s leadership taken place within its framework,” the message of the press service reads.
To develop the discussion, an exchange of views took place regarding plans for joint work for the near future, including the implementation of projects in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. Separately, diplomats paid attention to the international situation around Pridnestrovie. Some organizational aspects related to the functioning of the official representative office were also touched upon.
Concluding the conversation, the parties agreed to continue regular working contacts on the entire range of issues of mutual interest.
