The 22nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Socio-Economic Cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia will be held in Tskhinval on November 17, the press service of the Government of South Ossetia reported on Monday.

The press service noted that the parties had previously carried out the work to analyze the implementation of the Investment Program to Promote the Socio-Economic Development of the Republic for 2023-2025, summarized the information on current issues of the 2024 Investment Program, and formed the agenda for the meeting of the upcoming IGC.

“It has included the provision of financial assistance by the Russian Federation to South Ossetia in 2023 for the purpose of its socio-economic development, including the implementation of the agreements concluded within the framework of the development of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration, the state program “Socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia” for 2022-2025,” an action plan to optimize the energy supply of the Republic of South Ossetia, previous investment programs, as well as customs interaction between the two countries,” the Cabinet of Ministers listed.

The government has added that on the same day a meeting of the co-chairs of the IGC will be held in a narrow format, during which the parties will discuss the issues of intergovernmental cooperation.
