The Georgian citizen Paata Arakelovi, who violated the state border of South Ossetia the day before, has been expelled from the Republic on Monday, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

The citizen was expelled to Georgia in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of the Republic of South Ossetia “On the State Border”.

“On November 19, 2023, the Georgian citizen Arakelovi Paata Rafikaevich, born in 1989, resident of the village of Akhrisi, Gori municipality, was detained by employees of the South Ossetian border authorities for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic.

It has been established that the said violator in a state of alcoholic intoxication crossed the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the settlement of Artseu, Tskhinval district," the statement of the press service reads

“The Georgian authorities are not taking sufficient measures to prevent them.
