Cooperation between the theaters of South Ossetia and the Chechen Republic will be developing, the artistic director of the Khanpashi Nuradilov Chechen State Drama Theater said during the press conference in Tskhinval Khava Akhmadova.
The first day of the tour of the Khanpashi Nuradilov Chechen Drama Theater took place in Tskhinval the night before.
On Tuesday, the theater will also host a performance of the play “To the Mountains Follow You,” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Khava Akhmadova has noted that peoples of South Ossetia and Chechnya are very similar.
I don’t have the feeling that I’m abroad, I came to people with a different mentality. I feel absolutely comfortable in South Ossetia,” Akhmadova has noted.
According to her, the South Ossetian audience was inspired by the play “Above the Mountains,” which was shown on Monday on the stage of the State Drama Theater.
“I am very grateful to the South Ossetian audience, so imbued with our story; after each story we heard applause. This, of course, inspires and I want to play on and on with even more zeal," said the artistic director.
Akhmadova emphasized that today the viewer will receive an equally pleasant surprise - this is the play “To the Mountains Following You,” where the well-knowing Russian actress Olga Kabo is acting.
“We value this performance very much. First of all, this is our common history, the history of our country, where our grandparents were fighting against fascism and won. We are all children of one country, closely connected by this history,” she said.
According to the artistic director, the performance turned out to be difficult, "I have not yet seen a single indifferent spectator in the hall, no matter where we showed it."
“I’m happy that I was able to bring this performance to South Ossetia,” added Akhmadova.
