Young people from South Ossetia are actively preparing to participate in the World Youth Festival (WYF), Diana Dzhussoeva, a member of the National Preparatory Committee (NPC), has noted during the press conference in Tskhinval.
According to her, young leaders from South Ossetia in the field of culture, sports, media, education, entrepreneurship, IT technology, diplomacy, etc. will take part in the WFW.
“Young people have shown interest in 13 areas. There is such an interesting direction as “Young Ecology”, where one person will also take part. The guys who are pursuing the “Volunteering” track have their own projects that they will implement during the event. I believe that it is very important to show our Republic in different directions,” Dzhussoeva has emphasized.
According to her, the national culture of South Ossetia will be presented within the framework of the World Festival.
“The exhibition and fair will be opened at the festival platform. Two artists from South Ossetia will present their works at the exhibition, and another resident of our Republic will become a participant in the fair,”a member of the NPK said .
Dzhussoeva has emphasized that great attention will be paid to organizing and preparing participants for the festival.
As noted by Chairman of the National Preparatory Committee Azamat Tedeev, 135 representatives of South Ossetia will take part in the World Youth Festival.
“As we have been informed by the festival management, each country’s quota had been reduced, except for South Ossetia. We were active and tried to further increase the number of participants. At the moment there are 135 people who have passed the competitive selection,” he said.
Tedeev has emphasized that the youth of the Republic are showing great interest and activity in preparing for the festival.
