The head of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev had a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the press service of the leader of the Republic of South Ossetia reported on Monday.
According to the press service, Alan Gagloev congratulated Vladimir Putin on his own behalf and on behalf of the entire people of South Ossetia on his victory in the elections and re-election to the post of President of the Russian Federation.
“The head of the South Ossetian state wished Vladimir Putin and the multinational people of the Russian Federation health, success, prosperity and peace. Alan Gagloev has emphasized that 97% of voters in South Ossetia supported the national leader of the Russian Federation,” the press service said.
For his part, Vladimir Putin thanked Alan Gagloev and noted that Russia would continue to support the people of South Ossetia.
