Russia is the guarantor of peace and security for South Ossetia, with the recognition of which peace has been established in the Republic, the head of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev noted at the meeting with Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik.
On Saturday, the Ambassador will make a presentation in Tskhinval at the event marking the 10th anniversary of the start of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbass by Ukraine.
According to Dzhioev, today a significant number of residents of South Ossetia are taking part in the special military operation.
“Unfortunately, it also cannot happen without casualties. But we all have a common idea - to defeat fascism, to eradicate the “brown plague,” he said.
The Minister has added that the collective West is biased in its approach to the investigation of the crimes of the Kyiv regime, including what happened in Bucha two years ago.
“We know that Russia is open to honest investigation, the West is doing its best to prevent this, and its double standards are well known to us. For many years, we have felt them in relations with our southern neighbors, behind whom is standing the collective West,” Dzhioev has noted.
Rodion Miroshnik has emphasized that Russia is constantly faced with Ukraine’s attempt to lie and twist the data regarding what is happening on the contact line.
“First of all, this concerns the crimes that are committed against the civilian population. Ukraine has been making a huge number of them. But this is often not visible on the international platforms, because they are dominated by Westerners who try to see the situation only from one side,” he has noted.
According to the Ambassador, when analyzing the available data on the events in Bucha, it is clear how orchestrated everything was.
“The corpses were laid out in geometric patterns. They took the bodies of people who died to different places and at different times, and staged a bloody show. There is no final investigation. We, in turn, present everything with evidence. A week before, catastrophic shelling began in Luhansk and Donetsk, the territories were destroyed, if Russia had not joined in, Donbass would have looked much worse, which is why today a special operation is being carried out to save people,” Miroshnik said.
According to the Ambassador, since 2014, Ossetians have been coming to the aid of the Donbass republics.
“South Ossetia was the only republic at that time that recognized the DPR and LPR, which at that moment was fundamentally important for financial relations and building international activities through you. Thank you very much for the work that you have done and continue to do,” Miroshnik has noted, addressing the Minister.
The Ambassador has added that the residents of South Ossetia are honestly, honorably and valiantly fulfilling their duty during the special operation.
He has noted that he came to the Republic with a project that sets itself the task of telling about what is happening in the special military operation zone, the crimes of the Kyiv regime.
“Three weeks ago I was in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Makeevka, Gorlovka, just at that moment the liberation of Avdeevka began. I keep track of the crimes that are committed there. I’ve talked to many people, so I know everything I say firsthand,” he said.
