President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, which arrived for the elections of deputies of the Parliament of the VIII convocation
The head of state described the past election campaign as calm and without significant violations.
“The elections are being held in a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for supporting our Central Election Commission. I know that you help them with any issues - this is very important. Today we are going through another test; together with our strategic partner, Russia, we are conducting a special operation. In such conditions, holding elections in a calm atmosphere is very important,” Gagloev said.
He has expressed confidence that all parties and single-mandate members will agree with the election results, since they showed respect for each other during the campaign.
Member of the Central Election Commission of Russia Evgeny Kolyushin noted the high level of organization of voting at the polling stations.
“Everything is going very calmly, in a friendly atmosphere. We have absolute confidence that the results will be summed up just as calmly. We are glad to support the young state. The Americans, of course, do not recognize the elections, but they but they need to learn a lot from you," the member of the Russian Central Election Commission said.
184 people are participating in the elections of deputies to the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia. Of these, 111 are single-members and 7 are political parties.
