Members of the South Ossetian Parliament Arsen Kvezerov, Zaza Driaev, Ivan Slanov, Alexander Gassiev and ex-speaker of Parliament Alan Alborov delivered humanitarian aid to the Ossetian fighters participating in the special military operation in Ukraine, the press service of the legislative body reports.

As noted by Arsen Kvezerov, head of state Alan Gagloev, deputies of the Parliament of the seventh convocation and Chairman of the National Bank Zhanna Dzhioeva helped in collecting the next batch of aid.

The administration of the village of Khetagurovo, together with the residents, also collected humanitarian aid for the fighters. Kvezerov has noted that parliamentarians are trying to maintain contact with the fighters of the special military operation zone.

“We are calling the fighters from South Ossetia, and they tell us what they need, and we, as far as possible, try to buy them everything they need. This time generators, walkie-talkies, uniforms, flashlights and other technical devices were purchased. Drinking water was also delivered to the special military operation zone. Whenever possible, we try to deliver “Bagiata” mineral water,” the parliamentarian said.

Arsen Kvezerov has added that by the decree of President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, military personnel of the 4th base from South Ossetia, who are located in the Zaporozhye region, were awarded medals.

The awards were also presented to the soldiers of the Crimea battalion, as well as to some other units participating in the special military operation.

Awards were presented to the fighters on behalf of the Defense Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia, Inal Sobanov.

According to Kvezerov, humanitarian assistance will also be provided by deputies of the 8th convocation.

He thanked the commander of the Alania battalion, Ruslan Ostaev, and his personnel for the warm welcome and assistance provided.

The deputy has noted with regret that sometimes not everyone gets in touch, and therefore it is not possible to deliver humanitarian aid to some units.

But he has assured that as communication with the rest of the fighters is established, they will also be provided with the necessary assistance.

The collection and delivery of humanitarian aid to the special military operation soldiers was carried out by parliamentarians of the seventh convocation on a regular basis on the initiative of the Speaker of the Parliament of the seventh convocation, Alan Alborov. Deputy Arsen Kvezerov was elected responsible. The parliamentarians contributed part of their salaries. Various government agencies, the National Bank, and residents of the Republic provided assistance in the collection.
