Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev took part in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the permanent mission of the Republic of Crimea in Moscow, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.

The invitation to participate was received by the Ambassador from the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov.

“From time immemorial, Crimea has been inextricably linked with Russia, and 10 years ago the dream of many generations of Crimeans to return home came true - we can rightfully say that the peninsula returned to its native harbor.

“The Crimean Spring” found a deep response in the hearts of each of us. It truly became a symbol of national unity and the restoration of historical justice,” the Ambassador said in his welcoming address.

According to him, the long-awaited reunification of Crimea with Russia is the important milestone in modern history, which symbolizes the primacy of the will of the people, justice and the inviolability of the country's sovereignty.

"Crimea is our common heritage and, despite the distance between us, the South Ossetian people are open to coordinated cooperation for the benefit of the two states.

In April 2019, the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Crimea signed a Cooperation Agreement, promoting the development of bilateral mutually beneficial ties. This historic event embodies common hopes and goals, cultural and social ties that unite the peoples of Russia and South Ossetia, which is the integral part of the Russian world," he has noted.

The Ambassador has added that he considers it a great honor to be personally friends with Georgy Muradov.

"On this solemn day, I am especially pleased to have the opportunity to personally congratulate you and your colleagues on the anniversary and sincerely wish all the Crimeans peaceful sky, good health and creation in the name of the present and future great Russia," Gassiev said.

Within the framework of the ceremonial part of the event, Georgy Muradov presented Znaur Gassiev with the honorary badge "For services in the development of international cooperation of the Republic of Crimea".

The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and heads of representative offices of the regions of the Russian Federation under the President and Government of the Russian Federation, representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation.
