The Chechen people have achieved lasting peace and ensured sustainable economic development as well as increase in the standard of living of the population, President of the South Alan Gagloev has noted in his congratulatory address to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in connection with the Day of the Chechen Republic.

"I am sincerely glad to have the pleasant opportunity to send you and all the people of the Chechen Republic the words of congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the Day of the Chechen Republic (Day of Civil Accord and Unity). This Day symbolizes harmony and mutual understanding in society, peace and well-being of the Chechen people," the President said.

He has noted that over the past 22 years, the Chechen Republic has come a long way in development.

"Thanks to civil accord and unity, the Chechen people have achieved strong peace and public order, revived the destroyed cities and villages, ensured sustainable economic development and increase in the standard of living of the population. And today Chechnya is celebrating this significant date as the established republic that is building a worthy future for its people," Gagloev has emphasized.

According to him, good relations have developed between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Chechen Republic.

"I express hope for the continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation between our republics, which will serve to further strengthen and develop friendly relations for the benefit of the prosperity of our peoples," the head of state said, having wished Kadyrov good health, well-being and inexhaustible energy, the Chechen Republic - further development and prosperity, and each of its residents - well-being and success in achieving their goals.
