The issue of benefit programs for participants in the Russian special military operation from South Ossetia is very relevant and the work on it is underway, Alimbeg Siukaev, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Security, said during the Moscow-Tskhinval video conference dedicated to the 16th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Russia and South Ossetia.
He has also noted that the number of participants in the special operation from South Ossetia has approached 2,000 people.
“The work in this direction started by the previous, seventh convocation of Parliament. It provides for mandatory consultations and joint activities with the Russian colleagues. Discussions are underway, and the Parliament plans to continue consultations. At the moment, local financial assistance is being provided to the special military operation participants and their families,” Siukaev said.
He has added that, in accordance with the presidential decree, humanitarian aid is also being collected and delivered to the special operation zone on a regular basis. Support is also provided by the Parliament.
“The deputy corps allocates a certain amount from personal funds every month for the needs of the special military operation, and in the future, as funds accumulate, everything necessary for the front is purchased. Assistance is provided not only by the Parliament and the Presidential. Executive Office. Almost the entire Republic, as far as possible, has been providing assistance to the participants of the special operation,” the deputy has emphasized.
As continued by the Presidential State Advisor Batradz Begizov, many of the South Ossetian special military operation participants have been awarded state awards of the Russian Federation and South Ossetia.
He has noted that there are many fighters on the fields of the special operation who are the only breadwinners and all these families are under the personal control of President of the Republic Alan Gagloev.
