Within the framework of the Geneva discussions for 16 years, the issue of signing a document on the non-use of force by Georgia has been raised at each meeting. The Georgian party is blocking this issue and does not want to take on obligations. All statements by the Georgian politicians are diametrically opposed to the theses about the alleged "reconciliation and apologies", South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev said at the briefing in Tskhinval.

"At the regular meeting in Geneva, our delegation and partners from Abkhazia, as well as the Russian colleagues, will naturally raise this issue again. We will monitor the dynamics of the situation, but I repeat that our position is unchanged. We proceed from the realities, existed in the region since 2008. They are such that after forcing the aggressor to peace, South Ossetia and Abkhazia are independent states. Without security, it is pointless to talk about any further steps," Dzhioev said.

According to him, there is an election race going on in Georgia now, so all statements are being adjusted to this election policy.

"There is an election race going on in Georgia now, but they are not retreating from their positions. We must soberly assess all statements of Georgia. As I have already said, Russia is the guarantor of our security, it conscientiously fulfills all obligations assumed within the framework of bilateral agreements," Dzhioev said.

Dzhioev has emphasized that the decisions taken by the Russian leadership in 2008 are not subject to revision.
