The heads of delegations of South Ossetia and Abkhazia discussed priority tasks of the next round of the Geneva discussions in Moscow

The priority tasks of the next round of the international Geneva discussions were discussed on Friday during the meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Abkhazia Odyssey Bigvava and State Advisor to President of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev, who were heading the national delegations at the discussions.

This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It was reported that in the context of preparations for the upcoming next round of discussions, the priority tasks of this dialogue format had been considered in detail.

" IT was noted the importance of continuing close coordination between the allies on the MDD agenda in line with the common approaches of Moscow, Sukhum and Tskhinval on key issues of ensuring security in the region, including the imperative of obtaining legally binding guarantees from Georgia on the non-use of force against Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as launching the process of delimitation of the Georgian-Abkhaz and the Georgian-South Ossetian state borders with their subsequent demarcation, ," the message reads.

The next round of international discussions will be held on November 5-6 in Geneva.
