Prospects for improving the qualifications of the South Ossetian social workers through the International Committee of the Red Cross were discussed at the meeting between Minister of Labor and Social Protection Oleg Gagloev and the new head of the ICRC representative office in the Republic, Said Assadullah, the press service of the Ministry of Labor reports.
Oleg Gagloev has congratulated Said Assadullah on his appointment as head of the ICRC representative office, noting that the Ministry of Labor fruitfully cooperated with his predecessor, Dragoslav Blazevic, within the framework of the Mission's humanitarian programs in South Ossetia.
“The International Committee of the Red Cross carries out its activities in difficult regions, helping the most vulnerable segments of the population. We once again express our sincere gratitude for the work you are doing in South Ossetia, and we want to assure you that we are always ready to provide you and your team with any assistance,” the head of Ministry of Labor said.
Said Assadullah, for his part, thanked Oleg Gagloev for the warm welcome and emphasized his readiness to further implement socially significant activities within the framework of the ICRC programs in South Ossetia.
They also discussed the increase in the amount of assistance provided to people in difficult life situations, etc.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on further joint activities and prospects for cooperation.
