A Heroes' Hall will be opened in South Ossetia for Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, Zhanna Zasseeva, a head of the Immortal Regiment headquarters, told IA "Res".
According to her, the exhibition will feature photographs of front-line heroes, as well as the information about their combat path, awards, and other important details of their biographies.
"The information collected by the Immortal Regiment headquarters can be found in this hall. Anyone can come to the exhibition and learn more about our heroes, their exploits, and merits by reading their stories," Zasseeva said.
She emphasized that the residents of South Ossetia should know more about the outstanding representatives of their people.
"For example, everyone knows where Issa Pliev was fighting, what awards he received, but there are many interesting facts about his exploits during the Great Patriotic War that remain unknown," Zasseeva has noted. "Shouldn't children know how he and his cavalry captured the impregnable Japanese fortification in just a few hours, demonstrating incredible courage and military skill?" The head of the "Immortal Regiment" has added that the Heroes' Hall will be opened on May 1 and will continue its work until May 10.
