The KGB of South Ossetia has provided statistics on state border violations in January

In January, 24 violators of border legislation were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, including 10 violators of the state border regime and 14 of the border regime. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic.

As noted by the department, the KGB Border Service conducted investigations into each violation of legal regimes.

“As a result, 21 violators were subject to administrative fines, and three were given official warnings,” the Committee has clarified.

The KGB reminded citizens and guests of the Republic planning to travel to the settlements located in the border zone, of the need to have identification documents - a passport, service ID, birth certificate (for minors), and for foreign citizens, in addition, a pass to the border zone.

To obtain a pass, a foreign citizen must contact the KGB Border Service in person or through his representative - a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia (the inviting person).

Applications are reviewed and passes are issued within 10 working days.

The Border Service has also drawn the attention of residents of the Republic to the fact that in order to carry out the works and events in the areas located in the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia, it is necessary to obtain the appropriate permits in advance.

The KGB Border Service has also informed residents of the need to have identification documents (passport, service ID) when planning a trip to the ski slope located near the state border in the area of ​​the settlement of Ruck.

The KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia has warned that deliberate violation of the legal regimes established on the state border and border territory entails not only administrative, but in some cases criminal liability.
