A working meeting of the delegation of Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia headed by Minister Alan Guchmazov and the leadership of the Russian National Guard headed by First Deputy Director of the Russian National Guard Yuri Yashin took place in Moscow.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas for the further development of interdepartmental cooperation, the press service of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reports.
“The agreements reached were secured by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia,” the report reads.
The agreement provides for the exchange of experience between the Special Forces units of the SOBR and OMON in such areas of activity as maintaining public order and ensuring public safety, protecting important state facilities, countering modern forms of terrorism and extremism, and others.
After the official part of the event, the delegation of Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia visited the Central Museum of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation, where they learned about the history of the creation and development of the National Guard Troops.
