The Embassy of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the victims of the Beslan tragedy in Moscow, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.
“A wreath was laid at the memorial on the square in front of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kulishki (Alan courtyard) on behalf of people of South Ossetia,” the statement of the press service reads.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania to President of the Russian Federation, the Moscow government, representatives of the Moscow Ossetian community, as well as the public of the Russian capital.
The event is timed to coincide with the International Children's Day and is held annually on June 1.
