The South Ossetian delegation led by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev was received by Vladimir Delba, Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Cabinet press service reports.
He warmly welcomed the guests and noted the symbolism of the meeting.
"It is symbolic that you and your team have come to our republic. It has become a good tradition to visit each other for national holidays. We have recently celebrated the 35th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of South Ossetia together, and tomorrow we will be all celebrating the main holiday of the Abkhaz people – Victory Day," Vladimir Delba has emphasized.
The Abkhaz Prime Minister noted the importance of the agreements signed between South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
"On the sidelines of the first International Economic Forum in South Ossetia, we signed the agreement on trade in goods."I believe this is a vital document that will provide additional impetus to cooperation between the two countries," Delba has noted.
Konstantin Dzhussoev thanked his Abkhaz counterpart for the warm welcome. He emphasized his high regard for the established friendly relations between the two republics.
"We have come to our fraternal republic to celebrate the Victory Day of the Abkhaz people with you. Relations between our peoples have been established for a long time. I am confident that they will be only strengthening in the future. We are always with you," Dzhussoev has emphasized.
Vladimir Delba conveyed his greetings to the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev.
