Representatives of the JSC Kavkaz.RF and Russian investors arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit.

The guests were met in the village of Ruсk by Minister of Economic Development Sarmat Kotaev, South Ossetia's trade representative in Russia Taimuraz Goginov, Chairman of the National Bank Soslan Bekoev, representatives of the Russian Embassy in the Republic, and other officials.

As part of the working visit, representatives of the JSC Kavkaz.RF and Russian investors will visit potential sites for investment projects proposed by the South Ossetian Ministry of Economic Development and will also hold a series of meetings with entrepreneurs of the Republic.

On Tuesday, they already visited one of these sites – the ski resort in the village of Ruck, opened last year.

Sarmat Kotaev spoke about the prospects for the development of ski tourism.

"The trail has been deemed safe by experts. It's 1.700 meters long, but there are plans to extend it in the future.

It's wide enough to accommodate separate sections for lugers and skiers, as well as ski jumps.

The nearby road is the excellent advertisement for this place," Kotaev said.

The Russian investors were also shown a restaurant-hotel, which was very popular during the Soviet era.

Kotaev has noted that the remaining buildings are not subject to restoration. However, he has expressed the opinion that if the ski resort is developed in the Ruck Gorge, the restaurant-hotel will need to be restored, so that this place can regain its former attractiveness for tourists. .

The investors were also given a tour of the children's camp in the village of Mziugom.
