South Ossetia has significant potential for developing winter tourism, and the Chelyabinsk entrepreneurs are ready to assist in its implementation. This was stated by Rinat Akhvadiyev, General Director of StankoPromGroup, one of the participants in the business mission from the Chelyabinsk Region arrived in the Republic.
During the press conference, Akhvadiyev shared his impressions of his acquaintance with local businesses and the natural beauty of South Ossetia.
He noted that thanks to the meeting with the entrepreneur developing winter tourism in the Republic, it was able to see the enormous potential.
"We had a very good understanding of how our company can help the Republic. He showed me how hard he was working, practically on a voluntary basis, to develop local winter tourism. "He showed me his snow track and told me how it handled tourists. And we have seen a huge potential here in your region," Akhvadiyev said.
He also emphasized that the landscapes of South Ossetia had greatly impressed his colleagues from the Young Industrialists' Club of the Russian Federation, which united representatives from around 20 regions of the country.
"I have sent my colleagues the landscapes you have and received feedback: 'We want to come here. We want to see it all with our own eyes. Why didn't we know there were such beauties in South Ossetia?'" Akhvadiyev said.
The entrepreneur expressed hope for the further development of tourism in the Republic and increase in tourist flow.
"I would like residents of Russia, from every region, to be able to come and enjoy this, to explore it. I would also like to develop your tourism industry and increase tourist flow," he has noted.
Akhvadiyev also expressed the company's readiness to assist in the development of tourism in South Ossetia, including through government support measures. “We really want to come to your Republic regularly, have a rest and leave the money we earn. Our company can help with this. Of course, we'd be interested in the government assistance, some kind of subsidized support, perhaps a grant. Our guys often purchase these funds in the Russian Federation through domestic tourism development programs. I suggest you consider this, too, because the assistance is truly very good,” he suggested.
Akhvadiyev emphasized the friendly nature of relations with South Ossetia and his willingness to further cooperation.
“I think the Russian Federation could also contribute to this. For us, South Ossetia is a friendly state with which we very much want to develop closer ties. And for this event, we are ready to assist in every way possible, with documentation and transportation support,” he has concluded.
The day before, another, second, business mission from the Chelyabinsk Region arrived in the Republic. During the visit, entrepreneurs from South Ossetia and the Chelyabinsk region discussed prospects for deepening business cooperation, establishing foreign economic ties, and developing the Republic's tourism potential.
