The commemorative 100-zarin banknote of the National Bank of South Ossetia is generating strong interest among participants at the International Numismatic Exhibition in Beijing, according to the official dealer Alexey Zemlyakov.
The exhibition opened on Friday and runs until November 2.
"The national banknote of South Ossetia is displayed in a large format at the stand, and visitors to the exhibition are introduced to the history of the Ossetian banknote through advertising flyers featuring the image and description of the banknote," the dealer has noted.
The commemorative 100-zarin banknote offers collectors the information about the country's history and culture.
The one side of the banknote depicts the Central Asian leopard, the historical emblem of Ossetia. The reverse side features the image of Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov, the founder of the Ossetian literary language.
