The delegation of the South Ossetian Embassy in Russia took part in the roundtable discussion organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania to President of the Russian Federation.
The main topic of the meeting was strengthening cooperation and implementing national cultural and educational projects in 2026.
During the discussion, the participants focused on preparing for the large-scale events.
The plan for 2026 has included holding the North Caucasus Federal District Youth Forum, organizing sports and creative festivals, interregional exchange programs for young leaders and civic activists, historical and local history expeditions, and dialogue clubs.
The meeting is especially relevant because 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia by decree of President of the Russian Federation. The key goals of this period will be strengthening pan-Russian identity, developing mutual respect between peoples, and promoting the country's cultural diversity as a factor in national enrichment.
Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation and the staff from representative offices of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District also participated in the roundtable. The meeting participants agreed to support the most significant interregional initiatives promoting the integration and humanitarian cooperation.
