South Ossetia plans to conclude cultural and economic cooperation agreements at the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)-the Embassy

A delegation from the South Ossetian Embassy, ​​led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Znaur Gassiev, is participating in the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), which opened on Wednesday.

According to the Embassy's press service, the Republic is planning to conclude cultural and economic cooperation agreements on the sidelines of the Forum.

"Our delegation is participating in the roundtables and sessions, and important meetings are being held. Representatives from over 100 countries have come to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, with approximately 20,000 people participating," the Embassy stated.

The main theme of the 2026 Forum is "Pragmatic Dialogue – the Path to a Stable Future."

The business program is grouped into five thematic areas: "The Global Economy Between Confrontation and Cooperation," "The Russian Economy: Structural Changes to Return to a Growth Trajectory," "The Social Sphere in the Era of New Technologies," "Living Environment, New Technologies, New Qualities," and "Technologies Defining the Future."
