Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to Venezuelan Foreign Minister Iván Gil on the occasion of the Republic's Independence Day, the Foreign Ministry's press service reports.
"Venezuela's history teaches that the strength of a state lies in the unity and determination of its citizens.
And today, when the country is facing serious challenges, both historical and natural, the resilience, unity, and loyalty to national ideals that the Bolivarian people have been demonstrating for 215 years help them overcome any difficulties," the message reads.
On July 5, 1811, the Declaration of Independence was signed at the Congress of Venezuela's Provinces, liberating Venezuela from the Spanish Crown.
