South Ossetian Ambassador to Abkhazia Astamur Katsia and volunteers from Ossetia laid flowers at the monument to the fallen South Ossetian volunteers in the village of Psakhara in the Gagra District, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
"The head of the Psakhara village administration, Georgiy Rabaya, also took part in the event," the press service has noted.
Prayers were held in churches in Tskhinval for all the fallen defenders of the Fatherland and civilians of Abkhazia.
On Friday, August 14, Abkhazia has been commemorating the beginning of the 1992-1993 Patriotic War.
In July 2026, 38 violators of border legislation were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia. Of these, nine are violators of the state border regime and 28 are violators of the border regime, the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic reports.

This morning, a drone attack on Nizhnekamsk killed 13 people, wounded at least 75, a day of mourning has been declared in the republic.
