Ossetian judoka Inal Tasoev won the European Championship in the heavyweight class, over 100 kg, held in Lisbon.
As reported by "Soviet Sport", Inal got a very difficult opponent in the final: two-time bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, three-time silver medalist of the world championships, two-time European champion Henk Grohl.
The European Football Championship ConIFA-2021 was postponed to July 7-17, it was previously announced that the championship will be held in the summer from June 9 to June 19 in Nice, France. As reported to IA "Res" by the Committee on Youth Policy and Sports, the organizers did not inform about the reasons for the postponement of the start date of the championship.

Russian boxer Murat Gassiev knocked out Albanian Nuri Seferi in the first round of the main fight of the evening in Sochi. For the 27-year-old Russian, this is his debut fight in the heavyweight division.

“The competition was held in Iowa, USA. I competed in the weight category of 77 kilograms, won in the first round with a choke hold,” Pliev said.
Pliev's rival was the American fighter Bruce Miller.
