Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has finished the project on realization of cleaning and partial repair of the irrigation canal in the villages Tsorbis and Kornis in (Znaurskiy district, RSO). It has been informed the IA RES by the employee of the Mission on public relations Marina Tedety. «As a result of landslip, the part of the irrigation canal which supplied the farmlands of peasants with water, has been damaged and the system did not function throughout the long period of time. In this connection, inhabitants of the villages Tsorbis and Kornis had serious problems with irrigation of crops, - Tedety has told. -The representative of the mentioned villages has addressed to us with the request of rendering assistance in resolving this problem.

Within the frames of the first Russian-Economic Business Forum «Republic of South Ossetia: construction of the modern state through the effective economy»a session of the round table on a subject «Results and prospects of economic cooperation with Russia. The basic directions of construction and upgrade of infrastructure and economy of South Ossetia»,presided by the Deputy Prime Minister of the government of the RSO Domenty Kulumbegov and the Deputy Minister for regional development of the Russian Federation Sergey Vereshchagin,has been held in the capital of the RSO.

The South-Ossetian sportsmen have been invited to take part in the Ninth Sports and Games of People of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District with participation of teams of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Our judoists will compete in the sambo contest.

The sportsmen-dominoes players- from Tskhinval will take part in the eighth World Championship on dominoes. As the trainer of the South-Ossetian team Roman Kokoev has informed the news agency "Res" the competition will pass in the city Sukhum, (Republic of Abkhazia) from October, 17 till October, 21st, 2011. The competition will take place both in individual and team championship. Our sportsmen George Bagaev, Igor Guchmazov, Alan Gubiev and Edward Bekoev will take part in the championship.

The Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev has handed over the credentials to the President of the Republic of Venezuela during his official visit to the Republic of Nicaragua. It has been reported to the news agencies "Res" at the press-service of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia. «The ceremony of delivery of credentials by Narim Kozaev to President Daniel Ortega has taken place on September, 6, 2011.

The RSO and the Russian Federation Chambers of Commerce and Industry are planning to conclude an agreement. The South-Ossetian free-style wrestler Inal Tasoev has become the bronze prize-winner of the World championship which has come to the end in Budapest on free-style wrestling among the sportsmen born in 1994-1995. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the trainer of the athlete Tamerlan Kochiev. «Tasoev has struggled in a weight category to 100 kg. He had four fights.

Construction of a new sanatorium complex has begun in Dzausky region, RSO. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the initiator of the project Inal Gabaraev. «South Ossetia possesses high potential for sanatorium business. I had an idea of building a modern sanatorium complex for a long time. I have developed the corresponding investment project, - the interlocutor of the agency has noted – I have discussed this question with the President of the RSO. Soon there will be a factory on manufacturing building products and materials in South Ossetia. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the Deputy Minister of economic development of the RSO Alexander Makaev. «The project will be realized within the limits of the investment program of assisting to socio-economic development of the RSO for 2011, - Makaev has noted. - The enterprise will manufacture paving tile, stone blocks, curbstones, bricks, blocks etc. Local source of raw materials will be used in manufacturing of the products».
